The IEEE EMBS Board of Directors confers the Grade of Fellow upon a person with an extraordinary record of accomplishments in any of the IEEE EMBS fields of interest. A brief citation is issued to new Fellows describing their accomplishments. The total number of Fellows selected in any one year may not exceed one-tenth of one percent of the total voting membership of all of IEEE.
