The Samsung Advanced Institute for Health Sciences & Technology (SAIHST) is a research institute with graduate school capabilities established on March, 2011 at Sungkyunkwan University Graduate School to contribute to the clinical medicine and health sciences and technology (HST) of Korea. Research in SAIHST focuses to develop knowledge and method applicable to the fundamentals of clinical medicine as well as medical device to treat, diagnose and prevent diseases. With vision to train professionals to lead clinical medicine and health industry, SAIHST provides three academic programs; the Department of Health Sciences and Technology, Department of Medical Device Management and Research, Department of Clinical Research Design and Evaluation and the Department of Digital Health (to be opened 2016). SAIHST will continue to educate and research on overall Health Sciences including technological field such as medical device research. Moreover, SAIHST will persistently strive to evolve ourselves to be the future leading clinical research institution by training professional digital healthcare experts in globalized research system.
